De_Void
The black holes or voids represents the incapacity of language to signify the immediate world. They function as the divisive theater stage where perception and matter battle for the agency of the window’s view.
In (De_Void) installations silence and noise fuse together in the edge of the screen to reveal a dark dance between the image, the city, the people, and their alienation. The voids are about creating an interruption of the literal way of looking at images as text without negating their nature of representation in a flat surface. These interrupted video screens that are driven by what is removed rather than what is present. I create voids without meaning in the middle of cities to reveal an experience of everyday that proceeds from thought to sensation only after the tyranny of language has been denied.
