De_Pride

(De_pride) is a two-channel video projection shown in a corner with each video on both sides. It was recorded during the pride parade in NYC around Union Square. The video focuses on three small moments where people interact physically with systems of control. In the first scene, a police officer is seen guarding a barrier, but everyone is ignoring him and walking around him. In the second scene, people are passing through a small opening of the police barricade showing what could be a potential for small rebellions in the everyday life. In the last scene, a line of heavily armed police officers with long machine guns block and interact with the joyous people of the parade.
